Associated Grant Makers
provided the Institute for Nonprofit Development with $5,000 of scholarships to the
Community Vitality Summit
. This generous provision will allow more than 40 participants from small (under $2M) organizations to attend the Summit for the significantly reduced fee of $40 (rather than full-conference price of $160).
Associated Grant Makers describes itself this way:
"Founded in 1969, Associated Grant Makers, Inc. is the only regional association of grant makers, both foundations and corporations with giving programs, serving in, or making grants in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. We are a leadership organization for philanthropy with more than three decades of service to the philanthropic community.
AGM's mission is to support the practice and expansion of effective philanthropic giving. AGM's members are among the most highly skilled and best informed philanthropists in the country. They represent many distinct values, styles and personalities and address a wide variety of issues. Yet despite their inherent differences, they are bound together by a common purpose: to shape a better future for the residents of our region."
